Merry Christmas from California!
Merry Christmas, everyone. Stream/download "Return of the Great Santa," the third ep of Christmas music by The Snowman Electrical Band. Like the others, this one was produced by Bees and Trees.
"Return of the Great Santa," the new ep of Christmas songs by the Snowman Electrical Band will be released this Wednesday, 12/12/12. It will be available for FREE streaming and download via soundcloud.
The ep features one original tune ("I'm So Glad"), covers of the Beach Boys, Mariah Carey, and James Brown, plus a few surprises.

The last picture shows a lot of what I like about Christmas and my particular taste in art. The window has this spray-snow-stuff on it. It's Christmas/holiday-time so that makes sense, but it's also the California coast, so there's some irony.
We are involved in an understanding with the person who sprayed the snow stuff on the window that it's not real, it represents an idea. The distance between the spray-snow on the sunny coast and little piles of real snow in the corners of a window in a place where it's cold enough for that is pretty far. This painted circle design is blunt short-hand for ideas about snow and "the holidays," but also culture and community. It's a display for all of us to look at and feel like, "yeah, I see what you're saying there."
Also, the person who created this had to move their arm in a circle and all around to create the design. I'm aware of in-the-moment-decision-making, which really appeals to me.
For those new to the game, GIVE/LOVE (2010) was the first Snowman Electrical Band recording.
The ep was a CDR-only release, and all of those are long gone. But, you can check out the videos for the two original songs from "GIVE/LOVE."
Suffice it to say that the Snowman Electrical Band (and BXT) have come a long way since the days of No Reverb and crappy, misused equipment. Even so, we remain very proud of this.

Happy Halloween from Bees and Trees and The Snowman Electrical Band!
The Snowman Electrical Band take LSD (presumably), carve pumpkins, and watch the Paul Lynde Halloween Special in this BXT-directed video. Also check out the video for "Little Red Riding Hood."

BXT directed the creepy new Snowman Electrical Band video for "Little Red Riding Hood." SXB find themselves trapped in a nightmare of psychedelic horrors and old video games. Wait, there's Lynda Day George. Surely, she knows how to help...
Kick off Halloween in high style. Download/stream the new Snowman Electrical Band songs for FREE right here! Or check it out on soundcloud.
The evil magic concocted by the Snowman Electrical Band and BXT for last year's Halloween recording is now stronger, stranger, and more shocking. We think you're up to it.
The Snowman Electrical Band has recorded two covers for this year's Halloween offering. Bees and Trees returned as producers. SXB recorded the songs in two days, and another two days were spent giving them a veneer of blood-red BXT grime. We are all particularly proud of how these songs work as a unit and we're excited to share it.
The new joint drops Friday, Oct. 19!
