The Fourth of July parade in Alameda is the second biggest in the country. I don't know what the first one is. Alameda is bursting with patriots, cool cars and at least one fearsome girls' softball team that chanted and screamed down the parade route like neon teenage banshees. No pictures of them though because I was afraid to look up.
Man, that giant inflatable army man walking thing is soooooooo weird. Almost as weird as the skateboarding army dude. Nice shots.
