Hi. I'm Joshua. The excavator (backhoe) shot is mine. Thanks so much for including it in your post. Last year I was on a six week solo roadtrip through the south island of New Zealand. While traveling between two town just before dusk, I spotted the wonderful yellow shape glowing in the low warm sunlight. I pulled over, climbed a fence and spent about an hour shooting the vehicle, and being eaten alive by flies. But it was worth it, that remains one of my favorite shots of the whole trip. More can be seen in my flickr set from the trip: www.flickr.com/photos/targophoto/sets/72157604064989686
Hi, Joshua. It's really a beautiful photograph. The warm yellow really pops against that cool grey sky. I love the foreboding feel of the storm clouds coupled with the dissintegrating backhoe. Thanks for sharing how the photo came about! -Bees
