RIP Davy Jones
Really sad about the death of Davy Jones. The Monkees were the first band I was ever obsessed with. And they were the first band I saw in concert. In 1985, when I was 8, my dad took me and a friend to see Gary Puckett, Herman's Hermits and the Monkees at the local college basketball arena. I still have a little button from the show. I remember that it was 4 bucks and I lost it within minutes. My dad kicked down for another one.
I've never stopped liking the Monkees. I think they're great. RIP, Davy Jones.
Maybe the next blog post won't be an obituary. That would be cool.

RIP Mike Kelley

Mike Kelley
It really bums me out that Mike Kelley died. This marks the first time that an artist whose work I truly love and relate to has died. I mean, other artists I like have obviously died, but I relate to Mike Kelley's work a bit differently. He leaves behind a truly phenomenal and inventive body of work.
